The American visual artist enjoys worldwide fame for his colossal nudes and human installations in urban and natural environments. Spencer Tunick’s work defies genres, transforming both landscapes and the human form into powerful works of art.
The photographs are at the same time painting, sculptural and performance installations. Tunick has produced over 120 nude group installations in over 30 countries. In each country, the artist is looking for volunteers who will agree to pose, age and beauty do not matter. Tunick doesn’t pay the models, but each participant gets a print of the photo afterwards.
